In 2009, our co-founder, Dane Boersma, passed away from ALS. Each year, we come together for Drink One for Dane to celebrate his legacy and bring awareness to end ALS.

The Backstory
Dutch Bros was founded by two brothers, Dane and Travis Boersma, with a shared goal to bring good energy, and a damn good cup of coffee, to their community.
When Dane found out he had ALS, he turned his diagnosis into a powerful partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
In 2007, Drink One For Dane kicked off at our shops as an annual event to raise awareness and funding for ALS research.
Dane lost his battle with ALS in 2009 but Dutch Bros continues to fight for a cure, alongside the MDA.
This year, with your help, we hope to hit a MAJOR milestone of $20M in total lifetime donations from the Dutch Bros community.
